Overview

This website is operated by Spectra ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting our site or buying from us, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"), together with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, please don't use this site.

Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the online platform that lets us sell our products to you.

1. Using our store

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. You may not use our products or this site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, or in violation of any law.

2. Products and descriptions

We try to show our products, colours and sizes as accurately as possible. Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen, and handmade items such as crocheted rompers can vary a little from piece to piece. Measurements are approximate. If you need a specific measurement before buying, contact us and we'll help.

Please use every product as intended and follow any care and use instructions:

Baby products: the Little Starfish knit romper is designed for photos, cuddles and supervised wear, not for sleep. The Starfish Dreamer sleep sack is worn in place of loose blankets; always follow safe sleep guidance, such as placing babies on their backs to sleep and avoiding overheating. Always supervise young children.
Pet car seats: these are comfort seats that help keep pets in place. They are not crash-tested safety restraints. Always attach the tether to a harness (never a collar), follow the setup instructions, and never leave a pet unattended in a vehicle.
Heated lunch boxes: follow the included instructions, use only the supplied or compatible cables, never heat sealed cans or containers, and don't immerse the base in water.

3. Prices and availability

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change without notice. We may change or discontinue any product at any time. Offers and discounts, including bundle discounts, apply as described at checkout and may end at any time. We reserve the right to limit quantities.

4. Orders, payment and cancellations

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information. We may refuse or cancel any order, for example if a product is unavailable, if there was a pricing or information error, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order after you've been charged, we'll refund you in full.

Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not store your full card details.

5. Shipping, returns and refunds

Shipping is covered by our Shipping Policy, and returns and refunds by our Refund Policy. Both form part of these Terms.

6. Errors and inaccuracies

Occasionally our site may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions in product descriptions, pricing, promotions or availability. We reserve the right to correct them and to update or cancel orders if information was inaccurate, including after you've submitted an order.

7. Third-party services and links

Our site may include links to, or tools from, third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content, products or services, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

8. Reviews, comments and feedback

If you send us reviews, photos, comments or suggestions, you grant us permission to use, edit and publish them in any medium without compensation. You agree that your submissions won't be unlawful, misleading or infringe anyone's rights.

9. Personal information

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Prohibited uses

You may not use the site or its content to break any law; infringe our or others' intellectual property; harass or harm anyone; submit false information; upload malicious code; collect other users' personal information; or interfere with the site's security or operation.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, graphics, logos, photos and page designs, belongs to Spectra or its licensors and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in our policies, the site and all products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This does not affect any rights you have that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spectra and its owners, staff, suppliers and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any product. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spectra and its owners, staff, suppliers and service providers from any claim or demand arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms and the policies referenced in them are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the site.

16. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site at any time if you break these Terms. Obligations and liabilities that arose before termination survive it.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept them.
